Ofuro Soaking Tubs

Originating from Japan where bathing is not just a bath but rather a spiritual ritual. The Ofuro bathing practice differs from North American and European bath tubs, Ofuro bath tubs are ‘zen’ like providing a sensual pleasure and a feeling of well-being and harmony with the natural surroundings, perhaps in a garden or spiritual landscape.

Our ‘Fuoro Tubs” are made of clear Western Red Cedar which is a close cousin to the traditional cypress wood used in Japan. Red Cedar has the distinct advantage of being naturally resilient to decay and bacteria. It also is known for its high insulating value. The pleasant aromatherapy of cedar heightens the experience! Our tubs use an architectural stainless steel strap system which allows the tub to naturally expand and contract without worrying about the wood splitting.

Heat Your Hut Tub

  • Electric heating system comes with a 1.4/5.5 KW Balboa digital spa pack and a 1/8 HP circulating pump & filter. This system allows bathers to control the temperature with the touch of a button. The filter system helps keep the water clean without the need for frequent draining. The kilowatts produced depends on the service voltage, 1.4 kW is produced with 120v service. We can also offer a higher end spa pack that produces 4 kW of heat and has advanced programming options as well as wireless remote control capabilities using an iPhone.

  • Wood fired hot tub heater. Because of the smaller volume of water these tubs can be heated in about 1-2 hour, with only the cost of wood. No electricity is required, but because there is no filtering water will get murky faster and water will need to changed often.

  • Wood fired hot tub heater and augment it with a pump and filter system to keep the water clear! Further consider the addition of an electric heater to the filter system so once you have heated the water with the wood heater you can keep the water at the desired temperature without constantly attending to the fire. The electric heaters vary from a simple inline heater to more sophisticated digital spa packs similar to those mentioned with the electric heating system. Filter and electric heat options is recommended when used in freezing weather.

The Quick Drain device reduces drain times by up to 50% compared to standard drain pipes. All water is emptied out through a drain at the base of the tub which prevents stagnant water and allows a thorough clean before your next guests arrive. The complete drain is also aided by a flatter seat design on all models and an additional drain on the Lodge L lounger.

For ease of use and operator autonomy, this brand new feature integrates push buttons for guests with an advanced hidden control panel on all Lodge models.

From temperature lock controls to in-line chemical dispensers, the Lodge range includes several operating features designed specifically for the holiday rental market. There’ll be less maintenance time with no head rests or diverter knobs to clean and replace, and peace of mind knowing that all in-filter dosing is HSE HSG282 compliant.

As well as the standard heating systems, Lodge can be fitted with an electric heater or heat exchanger – an inexpensive green solution that exploits the heat produced by your facility’s heating system or by renewable sources. The Additional Electric Heater Pack (2 x 3kw) reduces the time it takes to heat the water from cold, ensuring that your hot tubs are always at the perfect temperature for your guests even when you can’t warm fill.

The ClearRay® system offers unbeatable benefits:

  • Effectively treats 99.9% of waterborne pathogens;
  • Reduce the use of chemical water treatment substances;
  • Sanitises safely because it uses the electromagnetic energy produced by the sun to improve its disinfecting action;
  • Easy to look after, the UV lamp must be replaced just once a year.

Available as an optional extra, the Performance Pack is a sand filter and filtration pump that sits remotely to the Lodge and provides enhanced filtration. This pack also helps to reduce maintenance time and cost due to eliminating the need to remove, clean, dry or replace paper filter cartridges on every change over day.
